While taking back two kidnapped children from Gurugram, Haryana, the Bolero car of the accused met with a road accident in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, in which five people died on the spot while five others were injured. Both children are also among the injured.
Superintendent of Police (City) Manush Pareek said on Monday, April 6 that on Sunday afternoon, near Pardhauli village of CBganj police station area, a speeding Bolero car first hit a motorcycle on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway and then went out of control and rammed into a tanker parked on the roadside. The accident was so severe that the Bolero and the motorcycle were blown to pieces.
Kidnappers killed, children injured
In this accident, Bolero rider Sikandar Kumar (28), Manmohan (42) and an unknown person along with motorcycle rider Shamsad (45) and Mumtaz (65) died on the spot. Five other people traveling in the Bolero were injured, including the driver Prince and the two kidnapped children who were seriously injured.
During the investigation, the police took strict action after suspecting the injured driver Prince while interrogating him, after which he revealed that the deceased three were his associates and they had kidnapped an auto driver Manoj and his two children from Gurugram.
Accused wanted to marry daughter, kidnapped father and children
According to the police, Manoj, originally a resident of Faridpur, drives an auto in Gurugram. Accused Manmohan wanted to marry his minor adopted daughter, which Manoj was opposing. For this reason the accused had kidnapped Manoj and his two children. In this regard, Manoj’s wife Pooja had lodged an FIR in DLF (1st) police station of Gurugram.
On the behest of Prince, the police have recovered Manoj from a house in Bareilly. It is being told that the accused were going to drop the children back when this accident happened on the way. Further investigation of the case is being done by Haryana Police.
