Punjab: Theft in Gurdaspur government school, thieves took away gas cylinder and mid-day meal items.

Gurdaspur News: An incident of theft has come to light in a government primary school located in village Magharmoodian of Gurdaspur, Punjab, due to which an atmosphere of concern has spread in the area. According to the information, a woman and a man targeted the school last night. The thieves entered the school under the jurisdiction of Dorangala police station around 12:00 in the night.

The thieves easily broke the locks of the school and made away with the goods kept inside. They stole two filled gas cylinders, mid-day meal ration items and cooking utensils. When the school staff reached the spot in the morning, they discovered the theft and immediately informed the police.

The incident was captured in CCTV

This entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the school. It can be clearly seen in the CCTV footage that a woman and a man are entering the school and stealing goods. This footage is now an important evidence for the police, on the basis of which both the accused are being identified.

The head teacher of the school, Asha Rani, said that this is not the first time, but such thefts have happened earlier also. But proper security arrangements were not made in the school. Teacher Asha Rani has demanded from the administration to increase the security of schools so that such incidents do not happen in future.

Police started investigating the case

On receiving information about the incident, Dorangala police reached the spot and started investigation. Police have taken CCTV footage in their possession and are trying to identify the accused. According to police officials, the investigation is ongoing and the accused will be arrested soon. At present the police is investigating this incident.
