Assembly elections are to be held in West Bengal in two phases. The rhetoric regarding this is also intense in the political circles. While BJP is talking about its victory in this election, Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has said that this will not happen even after taking 100 births.
Thursday (April 02, 2026) MP Pappu Yadav, while talking to IANS, described West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as a super tiger. He said, “Protecting the culture of Bengal, the voice of Bengal, there is only one lioness, the queen of Jhansi, Mamata Didi… the whole of Bengal and the Bengali sentiment is with Mamata Didi.”

‘BJP against Bengali culture, civilisation’
Pappu Yadav said, “BJP has always been against Bengali culture, Bengali culture, Bengali civilization. BJP won in Assam only due to conspiracy in the entire North. BJP is not in a position to win anywhere… The people of Bengal will not accept BJP even in 100 births.”
What did BJP say on Pappu Yadav’s statement?
BJP spokesperson Prabhakar Mishra said that Pappu Yadav is doing politics of ‘Super Tiger’ and ‘Lioness’ these days. The public is not going to be impressed by these statements. The truth is that those who do not have their own support base, they do politics on the shoulders of others. His comment about BJP is ridiculous because the people of the country are continuously trusting BJP. This statement of Pappu Yadav is just to remain in the headlines.
