
The earth shook due to earthquake of 3.1 magnitude on Sunday (29 March) in Amreli district of Gujarat. However, there is no news of any casualty or damage to property. Earthquake tremors have been felt in Saurashtra for the second time in the last six days.
Officials said that according to the Seismological Research Institute located in Gandhinagar, this earthquake shock was recorded at 4.10 pm. He said that the epicenter of the earthquake was located about 42 kilometers south-south-east of Amreli in Saurashtra region at a depth of 11.6 kilometers from the surface.

On the tremors felt near Amreli, officials said that neither anyone was injured nor there was any damage to property due to the earthquake. He told that a similar earthquake of 3.2 magnitude had occurred in Rajkot district of Saurashtra region on Tuesday.
What did the member of Savarkundla Assembly say?
Savarkundla assembly member Mahesh Kaswala said, “Several light tremors have been felt in Amreli in the last few days. The sarpanch of Mityala village has confirmed that Sunday’s tremor was felt quite strongly. Kaswala said that Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has assured him that a technical team will be sent to Amreli for further investigation.

Once again in many villages including Nana Visavdar, Anida, Ingorala, Nani Dhari of Khambha Gir area of Amreli. Earthquake Tremors have been felt. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people of the area due to these tremors. Local villagers are starting to worry. At present the local administration is also keeping an eye on the situation. The administration is collecting information about any kind of damage in the area. There is no news of any damage yet.
