In Khod village of Pataudi, around 11 pm on Friday night, a speeding Thar hit a maternal grandfather and his two grandsons who were walking on foot. Both the children died on the spot in the accident, while the person died during treatment in the hospital. On receiving the information, the police of Pataudi police station took possession of the three bodies and took them to the mortuary. After the accident, the driver ran away leaving the Thar at the spot. The police have taken Thar into custody and parked it in the police station.

The deceased have been identified as Subhash (53), resident of Khod village, and his grandsons Zaid Khan (9) and Ishant (10), residents of Milakpur village, Bhiwadi (Rajasthan). According to the information, on Friday night, Subhash had come with his two grandsons Zayed and Ishant to meet his brothers on Lokra Road near Khod village. He was going back home with both of them at night. When they were going on Lokra Road at around 10.55 pm, a Thar coming from behind at high speed hit Subhash and his grandsons Zayed and Ishant. Due to the impact of the Thar, all three were thrown 10 to 30 feet away.

Ishant and Zaik died on the spot due to serious injuries. At the same time, passersby took all three to a nearby hospital, where Subhash also died during treatment. Police have taken the bodies to Gurugram mortuary.

Inspector Brahmprakash, in-charge of Pataudi police station, said that the driver is being identified on the basis of the number of the Thar vehicle. Soon the driver will be arrested and further action will be taken. The speed of the Thar vehicle is said to be very high during the accident. In such a situation, only after questioning and medical examination of the driver, it will be known whether he had consumed alcohol or not.
