Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Noida International Airport today. A day before the inauguration, on its Facebook and X ID it has been described as a big boost for the connectivity and business of NCR. He told that he is coming to Jewar on Saturday to inaugurate Noida International Airport. On Facebook, he described Noida International Airport as the path of development and a big transportation facility for the people. While also posting on X, it was said that the construction of Noida Airport will provide convenience to the people of Delhi-NCR. Besides, the crowd of passengers at IGI Airport will also be reduced.

He told that Noida Airport is one of the special greenfield projects of our country. Apart from passenger convenience, the cargo produced here for import and export will give a boost to the industries. A large number of his followers have left good comments on his posts on Facebook and Instagram. Also praised this step of the government.

PM laid the foundation stone on 25 November 2021

On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the airport whose foundation stone was laid in Jewar about four and a half years ago on 25 November 2021. The first phase was completed in four and a half years at a cost of Rs 11,200 crore.

The dream of Noida International Airport was seen in the year 2001 during the state government of the then Chief Minister Rajnath Singh. The struggle for the airport continued for 25 years. In the year 2001, to reach Jewar area from Noida, people had to travel for hours through the narrow roads of Sirsa, Bilaspur, Dankaur, Rabupura. Now the jewelery is ready to fly.

Mainly the main journey of this big project started from the year 2019. On 29 November 2019, Zurich Airport International AG of Switzerland won the tender for the construction of Noida International Airport. On 7 October 2020, the Government of Uttar Pradesh signed the concession agreement to begin work on the airport. On 18 December 2020, Zurich International and the Government of Uttar Pradesh accepted Noida International Airport as the official airport name. Along with this its logo was unveiled.

On March 1, 2021, Noida International Airport (NIA) signed an agreement with the state government. On 30 August 2021, Yamuna International Airport Private Limited received final approval on the masterplan. On 25 November 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Noida International Airport. On June 3, 2022, NIA selected Tata Projects Limited as the EPC contractor. Tata company started construction. The contract was signed to open Rosette Hotel on the airport premises on 28 November 2022. On 10 February 2023, NIA selected Air India SATS (AISATS) to develop multi-modal cargo hub. Built on 80 acres of land, the cargo hub will provide quick, convenient and inter-modal connectivity to and from the manufacturing hubs of the country.

Agreement signed with the company for Digiyatra

Signed an agreement with Amadeus Company on 16 May 2023 to provide world class Passenger Digital System (PPS). The agreement provides for common use of check-in, boarding, baggage matching and DigiTravel enabled biometric facilities.

Noida Airport gets DXN code

Noida International Airport got its official IATA code DXN on 27 September 2023. On October 26, a partnership was signed with Taj Sats Group for the construction of inflight kitchens.
