Chief Minister Yogi performed Kanya Puja with traditional customs in Gorakhnath temple. He worshiped Maa Siddhidatri and took blessings of nine little girls by washing their feet, applying tilak on them, covering them with chunari and offering them food (prasad), which shows his respect for women power.

CM Yogi Adityanath said, the nine-day rituals of Maa Durga will conclude today. On the ninth day of Navratri, the date that bestows all kinds of achievements, brings happiness and prosperity, and on this occasion, I extend best wishes to the people of the state for Navratri. I convey my best wishes to the people of the state that mother’s blessings always remain in their lives and there is happiness and prosperity in their lives. On Navami Tithi, the holy birth festival of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram is also celebrated as Ram Navami. Maryada Purushottam Prabhu Shri Ram has always been an inspiration for every Indian as an ultimate ideal of the Indian way of life in the tradition of Sanatan Dharma of India.

On the ninth date of Chaitra Navratri, after worshiping Mother Siddhidatri in the Shaktipeeth of Gorakhnath temple, CM Yogi washed the feet of Devi Swarupa girls and worshiped them. Along with providing them food, they provided Dakshina and gifts, along with worshiping the girl, they also worshiped Batuk Bhairav. The ritual of Kanya Puja started in the morning. After completion of Navratri rituals, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will celebrate Shri Ram Janmotsav in the afternoon at Gorakhnath Temple complex on Ram Navami.

On Ashtami Tithi, Chief Minister and Gorakshpeethadhishwar Yogi Adityanath worshiped Maa Mahagauri as per the rituals at the Shaktipeeth located in Gorakhnath temple on Thursday night. According to the tradition of Gorakshpeeth, amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras, the Chief Minister completed the rituals with Havan and Aarti and prayed to Mother Adishakti Jagatjanani for the well-being of the people of the state.

From the very first day of Chaitra Navratri, the process of worshiping different forms of Goddess Adishakti Bhagwati is going on in Gorakhnath temple. Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who came to Gorakhpur on Wednesday, worshiped Maa Mahagauri with rituals on Thursday night on the Ashtami date of Navratri. After this he performed Havan on Ashtami as per the tradition of Gorakshpeeth. Mahashtami worship was completed with Aarti and distribution of Prasad.
