
A horrific road accident took place in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday evening, where a bus lost control and overturned after colliding with a truck. In this accident, ten people died on the spot, while many passengers were seriously injured. In the accident, some passengers suffered serious injuries such as hands being cut and heads of many being broken. Collector Harendra Narayan has confirmed the deaths.
According to the police, the incident took place in Umranala area at around 6.30 pm. There were more than 40 passengers in the bus and it was going from Chhindwara towards Umranala. Information has been received that most of the people traveling in the bus were returning from the beneficiary conference organized in Chaurai tehsil, in which Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also participated.
At present, the reasons for the accident have not been clearly revealed. Immediately after the incident, a team of police and doctors reached the spot and started relief work. After giving first aid, all the injured have been referred to the district hospital.
What did the collector say?
The collector said that there were 47 passengers in the bus. This bus was coming from Chhindwara. The bus was overtaking a vehicle near Simaria, when a pickup vehicle laden with garlic collided head-on. The condition of five people is critical in this accident and 10 deaths are known.
