Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that his country will now allow ships of partner countries to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. India is also included in these countries, along with the names of China, Russia, Iraq and Pakistan have also been taken. This means that Indian ships will be allowed to pass safely through this route. However, a condition has been imposed that the ships must first coordinate with Iranian authorities.

Energy crisis expected to reduce
This decision has come at a time when there was increased concern across the world regarding this route, because this route is one of the largest oil supply routes in the world. If it were to stop, both oil prices and supply would be affected for countries like India.
Antonio Guterres has also expressed concern on this issue
Meanwhile, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres has also expressed concern over this issue. He said the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is blocking supplies of oil, gas and fertiliser, which is impacting the world – especially during farming periods.
The prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz is choking the movement of oil, gas & fertilizer at a critical moment in the global planting season.
Across the region & beyond, civilians are enduring serious harm & living under profound insecurity.

Guterres appealed to America and Israel to end the war soon, because it is worsening the condition of common people and is also having a huge impact on the global economy. He also asked Iran to stop attacking its neighboring countries.
The conflict in the Middle East has gone too far.
My message to the US & Israel is that it’s high time to end the war – as human suffering deepens, civilian casualties mount & the global economic impact is increasingly devastating.

Relief news for India amid energy crisis
India has got a big relief from this decision of Iran, because a lot of India’s oil comes through this route. If this road had remained closed, petrol and diesel could have become expensive. Iran had earlier also clarified that non-hostile ships (ie those which are not against Iran) can pass through this route, but now this rule has been made more strict, every ship must first comply with the permission and security rules.
Non-hostile vessels, including those belonging to or associated with other States, may—provided that they neither participate in nor support acts of aggression against Iran and fully comply with the declared safety and security regulations—benefit from safe passage through the…
