In the year 2026, the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated on both 26 March and 27 March 2026. This day is celebrated with reverence and devotion all over India as the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram.

In 2026, Navami Tithi will start on March 26 at 11:48 am and will be valid till March 27, 2026 at 10:06 am.
According to astrologers, Lord Ram Ji was born on Navami Tithi in Abhijeet Muhurta. Since Navami Tithi is starting after 11.30 am on 26th March, the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated on 26th March 2026. Also, on this day there will be a coincidence of Punarvasu Nakshatra, in which Lord Ram was born. Since Navami Tithi is going to be on 27th March 2026 till 10.06 am. Therefore, at some places, Ram Navami will be celebrated on March 27 according to Udaya Tithi. Kanya Puja will also be done on 27th March only. With this the Navratri fast will be broken.

Importance of Ram Navami
Ram Navami, celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Rama, has special significance in Hindu religion. It is believed that on this day Lord Ram was born in Ayodhya, who is a symbol of religion, dignity and truth.

On this day, wake up early in the morning and take bath. Clean the temple in the house and install the idol of Lord Ram. Purify by sprinkling Ganga water. Then offer flowers, basil and fruits. Recite Ramcharitmanas and perform Ram Janam and Aarti at 12 noon.
