A very painful and disturbing incident has come to light from Panipat city of Haryana. On Sunday, a 22-year-old youth ended his life by hanging himself after a dispute with his wife in Satish Colony, Chautala Road of the city. It is being told that the young man had made a video call to his wife just before committing suicide and hanged himself in front of her. After this incident, there is chaos in the family of the deceased and his mother is crying badly.
cause of dispute
In the information given by the uncle of the deceased, Vimalkant’s wife was in her maternal home for some time and there was tension between the two. On Sunday (22 March), Vimalkant was talking to his wife on phone and convincing her to return home. It is alleged that the wife flatly refused to come back and said about divorce on the phone itself. The matter escalated so much that she angrily told her husband to “go and die somewhere.”
Horrible step taken on video call
Vimalkant was so hurt by these words of his wife that he immediately made a video call to his wife and hanged himself with his dupatta in the room in front of her. As soon as Vimalkant was about to hang himself, the phone slipped from his hand and fell on the floor and broke.
Dead body found hanging from door noose
According to family members, since Sunday (22 March) was a holiday, Vimalkant was at home, while other family members had gone to the factory for work. When the family returned from work at around 4 pm, they saw that the door of Vimalkant’s room was locked from inside. Even after shouting a lot, when there was no response from inside, he somehow broke the door. Seeing the scene in the room he was shocked; Vimalkant’s body was hanging inside.
The wedding took place just a year ago
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Vimalkant, who was originally a resident of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was living in Panipat with his family for some time and was working as a laborer in a private factory. Vimalkant was married only last year, in April 2025. Just after a year of marriage, this tragic incident has turned all the happiness of the family into mourning.
Police action continues
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and took the body into their custody. At present, the police has kept the body in Panipat Civil Hospital (mortuary) for post-mortem. The police is investigating the case thoroughly on the basis of the statements of the family members and further legal action is being taken.
