
Amidst the ongoing tension in West Asia, Iran has made its position clear on the fears of global economic crisis. Consul General of Iran in Mumbai, Saeed Reza Mosayeb Motlagh has clearly said that Iran is not responsible for the economic instability of the world under any circumstances.
‘We just defended ourselves’
Consul General Saeed Reza said Iran had taken steps only in self-defense. According to him, the attacking countries should take responsibility for its consequences. He said that we had already warned, yet we were attacked. In such a situation, he should have thought first about the consequences of the war.

Appeal to the international community to play an active role
Sayeed Raza Mosayeb Motlagh appealed to the global community and said that there is a need to take concrete steps and not just rhetoric. He said the international community should dialogue with the party that started the war and stop it from taking such steps.
Reference to UN regulations
Referring to the UN Charter and international laws in its statement, Iran said that all countries should together hold the responsible parties accountable. The Consul General said that many times in history, powerful countries have harmed other countries, but this time they have to face a strong and opposing nation. Iran warned that it is necessary to stop such unilateral military action against any country in future. For this, international pressure and accountability are very important.
