These days, the shortage of commercial gas in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh has increased the problems of hotels, restaurants and sweets traders. Due to disruption in the supply of gas cylinders, traders are now having to return to the old days. Where earlier work was done on gas, now coal furnaces are seen burning there.
According to traders, at present the option of coal is being taken so that the business is not affected much. If rates have to be increased after this, customers will be affected. Therefore, it would be better if the government makes arrangements for the shortage of gas soon.
Started using coal out of compulsion
Many hotels and sweet shops in Kandhla area have now started using coal instead of gas. Traders say that due to non-availability of commercial cylinders, they are forced to take this step. Working on coal is not only more labor intensive, but it is also increasing the cost. Sweets trader Yashu Saini said that due to shortage of gas, he has started making sweets by installing a coal furnace in his shop.
He says that coal takes more time and effort than gas, which affects production. Gas is not available, due to which we have to work on coal furnace. It also involves more expenditure and more hard work, but to avoid burdening the customers, we have not increased the prices of sweets yet. There is a demand from the government that the supply of gas should be made smooth as soon as possible.
Problems will increase due to lack of supply of gas
Traders say that if gas supply is not restored soon, they may be forced to increase prices, which will also affect the pockets of the general public. At present, the traders who are expecting relief from the administration and the government are demanding an early solution, so that their business can run smoothly and the common people also do not have to face inflation.
