Delhi High Court has stayed the trial court proceedings in a case, in which the chargesheet includes Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Akhilesh Yadav, DMK leaders Kanimozhi, A. The names of Raja, CVMP Ezhilarasan and others are included.

The case pertains to a demonstration allegedly organized without permission against the draft guidelines of the UGC at Jantar Mantar in February 2025. DMK leader CVMP Ezhilarasan has demanded cancellation of the FIR. After the charge sheet was filed, the case is pending in the Rouse Avenue Court, although the court has not yet taken cognizance.
