A female passenger died on Sunday on a British Airways flight from Hong Kong to London. His age was around 60 years. The woman’s body was kept in the rear part of the plane where the floor was heated. More than 13 hours into the flight, the body started to stink. Due to this, the passengers faced problems but the pilot continued the journey instead of making an emergency landing.
A female passenger died just an hour after British Airways flight BA32 took off from Hong Kong. According to Fox News report, the Airbus A350-1000 was carrying 331 passengers along with crew members. Despite the woman’s death, the pilots decided to continue to Heathrow Airport rather than divert or return to Hong Kong. The crew members first considered placing the body in the toilet. Later the body was taken back to the kitchen. agency
Police checked the plane 45 minutes after landing
The staff ignored the fact that the kitchen floor was hot, Fox News reported, quoting the source. It is alleged that due to heat, a pungent odor was generated and spread to the rear of the cabin during the flight. Many passengers complained of foul smell coming from that part of the plane. After landing, police boarded the plane and asked all passengers to remain seated in their seats. The police investigated the plane for about 45 minutes.
Passenger’s death is not considered a medical emergency
Passenger death is not generally considered a medical emergency. The dead body is usually placed in a body bag or covered with a blanket up to the neck. If possible, efforts are made to move the body to a less significant area of the aircraft, such as an empty seat or another section. If the flight is completely full the body can be placed back in its original seat.
