The investigating agencies have now also started investigating the financial condition of Kharat. Initial investigation revealed that his assets could be worth several crores of rupees. His ‘Shivanika Trust’ is also accused of violating rules. His properties in Nashik and Shirdi are being investigated.

In this case, his relations with some leaders are also being investigated. Earlier, the opposition alleged that he had political patronage. On this issue, the opposition also raised the demand for removal of Women Commission Chairperson Rupali Chakankar.
