The sighting of the Eid moon was confirmed in Lucknow on Friday, after which it was announced to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday. With the confirmation of sighting of the moon on 30th Ramzan, preparations have intensified in all the mosques of the city including Idgah Aishbagh.
Islamic Center of India President Maulana Khalid Rashid said that the moon was not sighted on 29 Ramzan, hence confirmation was made on Friday. He has appealed to the people to offer Namaz at designated places only and follow the guidelines issued, not to offer Namaz on the road.
