
A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Mumbai in which a 42-year-old man killed his wife by pushing her in front of a running local train after a domestic dispute. Accused husband Rajkumar Gupta has been arrested from Surat. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed at Mulund station.
Rajkumar Gupta, an electrician by profession, pushed his 36-year-old wife Pushpa in front of a running local train on platform number 1 of Mulund station on the morning of March 14. It is noteworthy that Pushpa had filed a police complaint against her husband just a few hours before the incident.
Brother had come to take his wife to the village, when the husband locked her in the house, the incident happened.
The deceased’s brother Kamlesh Kumar Gupta (30), who is working in the army, said that there were frequent fights between the husband and wife. He had come to take his sister and her 15-year-old son back to their native village in Uttar Pradesh. When another fight broke out on March 14, Pushpa went to the police. After this Kamlesh, Pushpa and his son reached Mulund station. There Kamlesh realized that he had left his Army ID card at home. When he and his nephew returned home to pick him up, the enraged Rajkumar locked them inside the house and himself reached Mulund station.
The entire incident was captured in CCTV, passengers informed the station master.
According to the FIR, the accused pushed his wife Pushpa, who was standing on platform number 1, in front of a moving local train and then fled from the spot with his younger son. The passengers immediately informed the station master. Railway officials took Pushpa to the government hospital but doctors declared her dead on reaching there. Meanwhile, with the help of neighbours, Kamlesh managed to get himself out of the house.
Case registered under BNS section 103, arrest made from Surat
On the basis of the complaint lodged in Kurla GRP i.e. Government Railway Police, a case has been registered against accused Rajkumar Gupta under section 103 of the Indian Justice Code i.e. punishment for murder. Police have arrested the accused from Surat. The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed at the station, which will serve as important evidence in the investigation.
