The third snowfall of the current season occurred in high altitude areas including Deoban, Khadamba, Mundali and Moila Top late on Sunday night. Although there was not much snowfall, after this the cold has increased in the entire area. The view of the high hills looked very attractive due to the white blanket of snow. Earlier on March 5, 2019, there was snowfall on the high hills of Chakrata in the month of March. There is an atmosphere of excitement among the local people and tourists due to snowfall. Local residents Balbir Singh, Rajendra Singh and Baburam said that due to the snowfall in March, the weather of Chakrata is likely to remain cold for a long time. Besides this, the crops of the area will also benefit.
Possibility of further drop in temperature in the next 24 hours
Dr. AK Sharma, scientist in-charge of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, said that according to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold winds blowing and further drop in temperature in the next 24 hours. At present the maximum temperature of the area has been recorded at 14 degrees and the minimum temperature has been recorded at four degrees Celsius.
