BK Lovely Didi, who came into limelight after giving her last farewell to Harish Rana, who was euthanized after getting approval from the Supreme Court, is in-charge of the Rajnagar Extension of Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya and the center located at Mohan Nagar in Sahibabad. While bidding final farewell to Harish, he said that you are a bird but right now you are imprisoned in a cage of sorrow and pain. Now the time has come for you to fly from this cage. In a special conversation with Amar Ujala, he also shared many things about Harish and his family’s connection with Brahma Kumari.

Mother had expressed the idea of euthanasia two years ago.
BK Lovely Didi told that Harish Rana’s family was associated with Brahma Kumaris for about 18 years. Five years ago the entire family shifted from Delhi to Rajnagar Extension. Before this, the family was associated with BK Center in Delhi for about 13 years. Told that when Harish’s suffering for 13 years became beyond the tolerance of his mother Nirmala, about two-three years ago he came to BK Center and expressed the idea of euthanasia. Saying this, the son said through tears and a sobbing throat that enough is enough… I can’t bear to see my son in so much pain. His body is in a lot of pain now, just give him freedom. After this, discussions were held with experts regarding euthanasia and the process was taken forward.

The problem is with the body, not with the soul.
BK Lovely Didi told that soul and body are two different things. The body is the car and the soul is the driver. When the car is old or no longer useful then it is said that leave this car now and come out of it. Therefore, I understand that this decision of Harish’s parents and the decision to file the petition came to their mind at the very end. He raised his son with great love. Always talked to my son, just like a small child. Mother accepted the concept of euthanasia with great pain.

BK Lovely Didi joined Brahma Kumaris since the age of 21.
BK Lovely Didi told in the conversation that she kept coming to Brahma Kumari centers with her parents since her childhood. Since then he felt a different kind of peace. After studying, she became an engineer and also worked as an architect. At the age of 21, he got the opportunity to serve as an architect at different places in Brahma Kumari centres. When I asked for permission from my father, he agreed without any delay. Since then she has been living a spiritual life by joining Brahma Kumaris.
