Gujarat News: A very sensational and shameful incident to humanity has come to light from Umarpada taluka of Surat district of Gujarat. Here a 14 year old minor girl was abducted from a wedding ceremony and gang-raped. After this incident, huge anger is being seen in the entire area.
According to the information received, a wedding ceremony was going on in Umarpada area. A minor girl was present on this occasion when four people kidnapped her. The accused took the minor girl to a nearby deserted place, where she was threatened and gang-raped.
The victim narrated her ordeal to the family
It is noteworthy that the minor girl who was the victim of rape narrated her ordeal to her family, after which the family felt shocked after listening to their daughter. The family immediately informed the police about the entire incident. Realizing the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately sent the minor girl to the hospital for medical examination and started investigation. Everyone is shocked by this incident that happened with a 14 year old girl.
Case registered under sections related to rape
As soon as information about this incident was received, there was panic in the police department. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, senior officers including Surat District Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Gadhiya immediately reached the spot. Understanding the seriousness of the crime, the police have registered a case under POCSO Act and sections related to rape and started investigation.
Taking strict action, Surat District Police has arrested four accused who carried out this heinous incident within a few hours. One of the four accused has turned out to be a minor. After the incident, there is huge anger among the people in Umarpada taluka against the accused and the demand is being raised to give strictest punishment to the accused by conducting the case in fast track court.
