MP News: 108 ambulance system failed! Police saved the life of the pregnant woman, on the other hand the delay cost the life of the young man.

The failure of the government’s 108 ambulance system has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. Because of this, the police in Pandhurna saved the life of a pregnant woman. In Chhindwara, a young man lost his life due to late arrival of ambulance. Both these incidents are raising question marks on the government.

Madhya Pradesh government makes tall claims of reducing maternal-child mortality rate and better health services, but the ground reality is exposing these claims. Two news from Chhindwara and Pandhurna region show how the negligence of the government machinery and lack of resources is posing a threat to the lives of the common man.

Police promptness saved life of pregnant woman in Pandhurna

A case of insensitivity of health services came to light in village Bichhuakalan of Pandhurna on Saturday (14 March) night. Navneet Naranvare’s seven-month pregnant wife Raveena suddenly started having severe labor pain. The family members immediately called 108 ambulance, but no help was received.

Seeing his wife’s condition worsening, Navneet was forced to take her on a bike and leave for the hospital. On the way, when ASI Ashok Turia and head constable Gajanan Mangulkar, who were on duty near Bhandargondi T-point, saw the woman suffering from pain on the bike, they immediately became active. He took the woman to the hospital in his government vehicle, which saved her life.

What did BMO say on the matter?

On this chaos and lack of ambulance, Pandhurna BMO Dr. Deependra Salame admitted that resources are limited. He said that at present only one ambulance is operating between Pandhurna and Nandanwadi Civil Hospital, due to which sometimes such awkward situations are created and patients are not able to get facilities on time. We are corresponding with the government and a demand will be made to increase the number of ambulances so that patients can get immediate emergency services in future.

Delay in ambulance in Chhindwara took the life of a young man

On the other hand, the delay of ambulance near Chorgaon Tiraha of Chhindwara became the reason for the devastation of a family. 18 year old Raja Verma, resident of Thavadi Kala, who was the only child of his parents, became the victim of a road accident. Family members allege that after the accident, they waited for 108 ambulance for a long time, but it did not arrive.

Ultimately the family brought Raja to the district hospital in a private vehicle, where doctors declared him dead. The condition of the family members is very bad. He says that if an ambulance had been received on time, perhaps his son would have been alive today.
