Delhi News: National Lok Adalat will be held in Delhi on March 22, opportunity to settle pending traffic challans.

A big opportunity has emerged for settlement of pending traffic challans in the capital Delhi. ‘National Lok Adalat’ is being organized by Delhi Traffic Police in collaboration with Delhi State Legal Services Authority on Sunday, March 22, 2026. Under this special initiative, people will get the opportunity to get their pending challans and notices settled from 10 am to 4 pm in various court premises of Delhi.

The aim of this initiative is to provide people with the facility to get their pending challans or notices resolved in a single day. Drivers who have pending traffic challans or notices can take advantage of this opportunity to settle their cases.

Lok Adalat will be held in these seven court premises

Lok Adalat will be organized in seven major court complexes of Delhi on March 22. These include Patiala House, Karkardooma, Tis Hazari, Saket, Rohini, Dwarka and Rouse Avenue Court Complex. At all these places, cases related to traffic challan will be heard and settled during the stipulated time.

Download notice and challan from online portal

Before appearing in Lok Adalat, it will be necessary to download the relevant challan or notice. For this, drivers will have to login to the official portal of Delhi Traffic Police https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/lokadalat. The challan or notice can be downloaded from here and its printout can be taken.

Only limited number of notices will be available

Notices and challans related to Lok Adalat will be available on the portal from 10 am on March 16, 2026. This facility will continue until a total of 2 lakh notices are issued. Only a maximum of 50 thousand challans or notices can be downloaded per day, hence people have been advised to download their documents in time.

No printing facility in court premises

Delhi Traffic Police has clarified that print of notice or challan will not be made available in the court premises. In such a situation, people will have to download it from the portal in advance and bring its printout with them, so that they do not face any problem during the hearing.

Delhi Traffic Police and Delhi State Legal Services Authority have appealed to the citizens whose traffic challans or notices are pending, to take advantage of the ‘National Lok Adalat’ to be held on March 22. This will not only resolve old cases quickly but will also give relief to people from the legal process.
