Telangana Police took major action at a farmhouse in Ranga Reddy district. Police had received information that a party was going on here without permission. When the police team reached there around 9:30 pm, Delhi real estate businessman Namit Sharma fired one round from his gun.
Investigation revealed that this gun belonged to Ritesh Reddy. Ritesh Reddy is the younger brother of former MLA Rohit Reddy. The gun license is correct, but it was used by Namit Sharma which is illegal. Police also recovered two grams of white powder from the spot. There is suspicion that it is drugs.
A total of 10 people were present in the party, including 9 men and 1 woman. These include big names like former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy and TDP’s Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar. Apart from these, Ritesh Reddy, Namit Mishra, M. Ramesh, Shravan Kumar, Vijay Krishna, Ravi and Arjun Reddy were also present there.
Police conducted drug test of these people. In this, reports of 5 people have come positive. These include the names of Rohit Reddy, Namit Mishra, Ritesh Reddy, Kaushik Ravi and Arjun Reddy. Chevella DCP Yogesh Gautam said that everyone’s samples have been sent for further testing. After the complete report comes, the police will take strict action as per law.
