Aqib Javed described Bumrah as like Usman Tariq
New Delhi. Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly in the recently concluded T20 World Cup. Bumrah made a significant impact in the three consecutive victories of the champion Indian team against West Indies, England and New Zealand. During this tournament, he became India’s highest wicket-taker in the history of this event. He has 40 wickets in his name so far. He also took his 500th international wicket in the same tournament.
For the last several days, Bumrah has become a topic of discussion everywhere. Everyone is praising him a lot. Now Pakistan selector Aaqib Javed has also joined this list. Javed, who won the World Cup under the captaincy of Imran Khan in 1992, called Bumrah the “Usman Tariq of fast bowlers”.
Javed compared Bumrah with Tariq, which the fans did not like because the Pakistani bowler has just started playing international cricket. Bumrah has proved himself in international cricket for the last 10 years. However, Javed’s aim was to praise the Indian fast bowler. There was nothing else in it, he just could not express his views properly.
Javed became fan of Bumrah
Javed said, ‘In today’s era, in the entire World Cup, there is only one such bowler, Bumrah. He is different. He is not a normal bowler. His bowling action is also unique. When he comes to bowl, I always say that he is the Usman Tariq of fast bowlers. He bowls in such a fast and unique style that the batsman is never able to catch the rhythm or pace against him. He doesn’t allow this to happen.
Tariq was also one of the new players who left a mark for his team in the T20 World Cup. During his team’s campaign, which ended with a win against Sri Lanka in the Super 8. Even against India, he bowled brilliantly and dismissed captain Suryakumar Yadav. He was one of the few positive aspects in Pakistan’s huge defeat. In six matches, this mystery spinner took 10 wickets with his unique bowling action and bowled at an impressive economy rate of 7.23.
