Who took responsibility for the attack?
Police later detained four teenagers in a car near another synagogue in Rotterdam. At the same time, a Jewish organization in the Netherlands claimed on the social media platform X that an Islamist group has taken responsibility for the attack by posting a video of the Rotterdam explosion online. The organization says that the same group also claimed responsibility for the attack on a synagogue in the Belgian city of Liège earlier in the week.
