Will Muzarabani also be banned like Corbyn Bosch?

New Delhi. Kolkata Knight Riders announced before IPL 2026 that Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani will be seen playing for them. This tall pacer, who bowled amazingly in the T20 World Cup 2026, has decided to leave the Pakistan Super League and play IPL. Blessing Muzarabani was a part of Pakistan Super League team Islamabad United, but on March 17, he will now join KKR and start preparations for IPL. The big question is whether Pakistan Cricket Board will take any action on Blessing Muzarabani leaving the PSL contract and joining the IPL team?

Actually, this is not the first time that a player has decided to leave the Pakistan Super League contract and play in the IPL. In the 2025 IPL, South African cricketer Corbin Bosch left Peshawar Zalmi team and joined Mumbai Indians in the IPL. However, after this the Pakistan Cricket Board took action and banned Bosch from PSL for one year. Now it remains to be seen whether the same happens with Muzarabani also.

Unsold in auction, direct entry in PSL
Let us tell you that Muzarabani remained unsold in the PSL auction held last month, but later Islamabad United directly included him in their team in place of West Indies’ Shamar Joseph. Muzarabani will now return to India after performing brilliantly in the recently concluded World Cup hosted by India and Sri Lanka. In this tournament, he played an important role in taking his team to Super-8. Muzarabani took 13 wickets in 6 matches played in the tournament. Only Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakraborty had more wickets than him, who took 14 wickets each.

This 6 feet 8 inches tall Muzarabani has bowled in all formats for Zimbabwe since his debut in 2017. In 89 T20I matches, Muzarabani has taken 106 wickets and has an economy rate of 7.24. Muzarabani has shown his fast bowling skills across the world in T20 tournaments. He has played in CPL, ILT20, PSL and even Vitality Blast in England. This is Muzarabani’s second stint with an IPL team. In the last stage of IPL 2025, he joined the champion team Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement player.
