Incomplete schedule of IPL 2026 released

New Delhi: The waiting hours are over and the schedule of IPL 2026 has been announced. On March 28, the opening match will be played against defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. But in this schedule only the program of these 20 matches to be held till April 12 has been mentioned. This is perhaps the first time in the history of IPL, when the schedule will be released in two stages. In such a situation, the question arises that why did BCCI do this? Why was the entire program not released at once?

Due to elections, the schedule will come in two stages?
Actually, BCCI has released the schedule of the first stage amid concerns regarding the travel of players due to the ongoing war in West Asia. Apart from this, assembly elections are also to be held in Tamil Nadu, Assam and West Bengal. This has also been taken care of. According to experts, the complete schedule will be released after the election dates are announced in these states.
