The Crime Branch team of Delhi Police has achieved a major success by arresting two minor accused who were absconding for almost a month in a case of attempt to murder. The age of both the accused is said to be 15 and 17 years and they are real brothers. According to the police, this case is of 6 February 2026. When a person named Mukesh, living in G-Block of Jahangirpuri, returned home from work, his son told that two boys living in the neighborhood slapped him without any reason.
Hearing this, Mukesh along with his brother went near the boys’ slum to talk to them. An altercation started between the two parties there. During this time, it is alleged that both the minor boys threatened Mukesh and his brother and suddenly took out a knife and attacked him. In the attack, Mukesh’s brother suffered serious injuries due to knife injury in his shoulder and stomach.
Case of attempt to murder registered in Jahangirpuri police station
At the same time, when Mukesh tried to intervene, he also got a knife in his hand. After this, a case of attempt to murder was registered in Jahangirpuri police station. After the incident, both the minor accused had fled from the spot and the police was searching for them for the last one month. Meanwhile, the crime branch team got some important information about these two. After this a special team was formed. This team was working under the leadership of Inspector Sandeep Swami and the entire operation was monitored by ACP Girish Kaushik.
Track the location of the accused on the basis of technical surveillance
The team included many policemen including SI Pradeep Dhull, SI Anil Saroha, SI Ravi Rana, ASI Sunil. The police tracked the location of these two boys on the basis of human intelligence and technical surveillance. Finally, the team took action and caught both of them from Jahangirpuri area itself. During interrogation, both of them also accepted their role in this case. After this the police took him into custody under the law.
Both minor brothers
Police investigation also revealed that both the minors are real brothers and have been living in Jahangirpuri area since childhood. He hasn’t even studied much. One has studied till eighth and the other till sixth. His father works as a laborer in Delhi and there are a total of five brothers in the family. Police say that initial investigation has revealed that both of them had committed this incident to gain dominance in the area. At present the police is investigating the matter further.
