Attacks on Saudi Arabia’s oil fields

Will war increase in West Asia?
Pakistan’s diplomatic role has become important amid increasing tension between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, while disclosing in the Parliament, said that Pakistan’s diplomatic initiative has been the reason behind the lack or lack of reaction in attacks by Iran on Saudi Arabia in recent times. This revelation further complicates the geopolitical situation in West Asia.
Pakistan’s diplomatic role exposed
Ishaq Dar told that Pakistan has a strategic defense agreement with Saudi Arabia. When tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia increased, Pakistan immediately contacted Iran. Pakistan cautioned Iran about this defense agreement and sought assurance that Saudi Arabia’s land will not be used against Iran. Pakistan also provided this assurance to Iran. This diplomatic effort helped avoid immediate conflict.
risk of rust spreading
In the ongoing conflict till now, the Gulf countries had kept themselves away from direct conflict and America also did not use the land of these countries for its attacks. However, if attacks by Iran on Saudi Arabia continue and the Saudi Arabia-Pakistan defense agreement is activated, the situation may change completely. If Pakistan gets involved in any military action against Iran on behalf of Saudi Arabia, then this conflict will not be limited to West Asia only. It will also directly spread to South Asia, as there is a long border between Pakistan and Iran.
