The crowd went out of control after seeing their hometown hero, after which due to security reasons Akshar left for home in his private car instead of the team bus. The whole of Ahmedabad is desperate to see the performance of ‘Bapu’ in this title match against New Zealand on home ground.

New Delhi. There was an atmosphere of celebration at Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Friday when Team India stepped in for the final of the T20 World Cup 2026. Thousands of fans had gathered in Mumbai to welcome Surya’s army, which defeated England and secured the ticket to the final. But amidst this grand welcome, an interesting sight was seen when the crowd went out of control on seeing local star Akshar Patel.
As soon as ‘Bapu’ i.e. Axar Patel came out of the airport, the entire campus echoed with slogans of ‘Akshar-Akshar’. There was no limit to the happiness of the fans after seeing their favorite player so close. Seeing this tremendous enthusiasm of the crowd, even the security personnel were surprised for a moment. Amidst this chaos, Akshar Patel took a different decision instead of boarding the team bus.
