Barabanki News: Is there shortage of petrol and diesel in Barabanki? No problem, administration cleared it

The administration has termed the news circulating on social media regarding shortage of petrol and diesel in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh as misleading. District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi made a post on his official social media platform X calling these reports completely false and rumours.

The District Magistrate said in his message that the news being circulated on social media regarding shortage of petrol and diesel in the district is completely misleading and baseless. There is sufficient availability of fuel at all the petrol pumps in the district and the supply system is completely normal. There is an appeal to the general public not to pay attention to rumors nor to spread them further.

Action will be taken against those spreading misleading information – District Magistrate

District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi also clarified that the administration is keeping a strict vigil on various mediums including social media. Strict action will be taken by filing FIR against those spreading misleading information.

However, after this tweet by the District Magistrate, different reactions of people also emerged on social media. Many people raised questions on the administration’s claim. A user named Akhilesh Kumar Singh wrote that the news related to shortage of petrol and diesel is not misleading. He says that when people go to the petrol pump to get fuel, at many places the pump operators are saying that petrol and diesel are not available.

Fuel supply in the district is normal – District Magistrate

Another user named Pratap Jaiswal wrote that if someone is spreading false news then strict action should be taken against him. Apart from this, while commenting, a user named Dinesh Kumar wrote that even if everyone tells a lie together, the lie does not become truth. At present the administration says that the fuel supply in the district is normal, while the debate on this issue is going on on social media.
