
There is a lot of excitement regarding the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar faction leaders Supriya Sule and Jayant Patil have met Uddhav Thackeray. Both the leaders met the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief in Matoshree on Tuesday (03 March). NCP (SP) leader Jayant Patil himself has given information about this. Sharad Pawar can be sent to Rajya Sabha again and under the same strategy both the leaders have met Uddhav Thackeray.
Giving information, Jayant Patil said, “We have met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. Supriya Sule and I met Uddhav Thackeray together. Our nationalist party workers expect and insist that Sharad Pawar Saheb should go to Rajya Sabha again and hence we requested him. He told us that the decision on Mahavikas Aghadi will be taken together by Congress, NCP (SP) and Shiv Sena.

Is Sharad Pawar ready to go to Rajya Sabha?
When he was asked whether Congress is ready for this? On this, Jayant Patil said, “We have already requested Congress.” It is expected to be decided by tomorrow (04 March).” When Jayant Patil was asked whether Sharad Pawar Saheb is ready to go to Rajya Sabha? On this he said, “We have requested him.” We will tell them when the discussions between the three parties of the alliance are completed.
No decision yet on Rajya Sabha seat – Aditya Thackeray
On the other hand, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has confirmed the meeting of Supriya Sule and Jayant Patil with Uddhav Thackeray. He said, “NCP (SP) leaders Supriya Sule and Jayant Patil ji met Uddhav Thackeray ji in Matoshree today. No decision has been taken yet on the Rajya Sabha seat, and will be taken soon. All MVA allies will sit together to discuss the seat and political alliance.”

Elections for Rajya Sabha seats on March 16
Elections are to be held on 7 Rajya Sabha seats in Maharashtra. Here, along with Sharad Pawar, the Rajya Sabha tenure of Ramdas Athawale, Fauzia Khan, Rajni Patil, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Dhairyasheel Patil and Bhagwat Karad is ending on April 2. Voting will be held on March 16 for 37 Rajya Sabha seats from 10 states.
