Renuka Thakur out of test match
Perth: Before the only test match against Australia, the Indian women’s cricket team has suffered a big setback. Team India’s experienced fast bowler Renuka Singh Thakur was ruled out of the only test against the home team due to workload management. Indian Cricket Board Secretary Devjit Saikia said in a statement that Kashvi Gautam has been selected in place of Renuka.
Saikia said in a statement, “Team India’s fast bowler Renuka Thakur has been ruled out of the one-off Test to be held at the WACA ground in Perth, which is part of the ongoing multi-format series against the Australian women’s team.” He said, “For better management of workload, Renuka has been advised to take rest and she will not be available for selection in the pink ball Test. The BCCI medical team will closely monitor Renuka’s fitness progress.
Kashvi Gautam is in great form
Saikia said, “The women’s selection committee has selected Kashvi Gautam in her place. Kashvi was also a part of the One Day International team of the current tour. The Test match is starting from Friday. Kashvi, who has played six ODIs for India, has taken three wickets while she has 19 wickets in 18 matches of the Women’s Premier League. India had won the T20 International series 2-1 but were swept in the three-match ODI series.
In such a situation, the Indian women’s team will have to try to defeat Australia in the pink ball test match at home. However, it is not going to be easy at all for the Indian team led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Because the Australian team is in excellent form. It has won all three matches of the ODI series against India in a one-sided manner.
