
The situation in West Asia has become tense after the joint attack by America and Israel on Iran. Meanwhile, Congress Lok Sabha MP from Jalna, Maharashtra, Kalyan Kale is stuck in Dubai. Due to closure of airfields and cancellation of flights, they are currently unable to return. However, the family has clarified that they are completely safe and there is no need to panic.
MP’s brother Jagannath Kale gave this information on Monday (2 March). He told that Kalyan Kale had gone to Dubai with some friends on Friday (27 February). His plan was to return to India via Abu Dhabi on March 3. But after the attack on Iran, many countries closed their airspace, due to which flights were canceled and they got stuck there.
Jagannath Kale told that he is safe. We have given their information to the Indian Embassy located there. They will return as soon as flights resume or after receiving instructions from the government.
61 people of Marathwada stranded in different countries
Not only the MPs, but a total of 61 people from Marathwada region of Maharashtra are also stranded in Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. An official of the Divisional Commissionerate said that some of them were tourists, while some had gone for work. Many people also have resident visa. The stranded people include 24 from Nanded, 12 from Latur, 10 from Beed, 6 each from Parbhani and Jalna, two from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and one from Hingoli. The details of the people of Dharashiv district have not been revealed yet.
Contact with administration and embassy
Information has been given to the administration of the districts of Marathwada where people are stranded. The district administration is in touch with the Indian Embassy, so that help can be provided if needed. Here the administration is also on alert in Thane and Palghar districts.
Thane Collector Shri Krishna Panchal and Palghar Collector Indu Rani Jakhar have appealed that people whose relatives are stranded in Gulf countries should contact the District Disaster Management Center and give complete information. This will make it easier to maintain coordination with embassies.
Safe for now, waiting for flights
Both the family and the administration say that everyone is safe at the moment. Now everyone’s eyes are on when air services will be restored. As soon as the airspace opens again, the stranded people will be able to return to India. Till then the situation is being continuously monitored by the government and the embassy.
