There was an encounter between police and miscreants in connection with the fatal attack on YouTuber Salim Akal in Loni, Ghaziabad. In the encounter, a miscreant was seriously injured after being shot by the police. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The encounter took place near Loni underpass near Nithora underpass. Two policemen were also injured during the encounter.
Additional DCP Crime Piyush Singh said that there was firing between the police and the bike-riding miscreant for about 10 minutes, in which 10 rounds of bullets were fired by the miscreant. Loni Police and Dehat SWAT team conducted this encounter under his leadership. In this, a miscreant was injured in a police encounter, who was taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
The deceased criminal has been identified as Nagla Saifi, resident of Zeeshan, district Amroha. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the same scoundrel had attacked Salim with a knife. In the CCTV footage, he was seen sitting on the back of the bike and was wearing kurta-pajama. The knife used in the attack, a pistol, cartridges and a bike have been recovered from the spot.
Zeeshan was a resident of Amroha. A reward of Rs 1 lakh was declared on him. The police team was checking after the identity was confirmed from CCTV footage. Meanwhile, after seeing the police, he opened fire, injuring two policemen. Sachin Kumar and Vipin Thakur are head constables among the injured policemen. In retaliation, he was shot in the leg and chest, seriously injuring him. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
