
CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered that the salary for the month of February should come in the month of February itself. March 1st is Sunday and March 2nd to March 4th is a holiday. The salary for the month of February was to be credited to the accounts of the state employees and pension holders on February 28, but till the morning of March 1, the salary has not been credited yet.
Despite the government’s announcement, there is anger among employees and pensioners due to not receiving salary and pension till the last day of the month. Salaries of many departments have not been released. The reason behind this is said to be server down.
Provincial President of Uttar Pradesh State Employees Federation, Kamal Aggarwal said that assurance of payment was given before Holi but the amount did not reach the accounts till late Saturday night. State President of Retired Employees and Pensioners Association Amarnath Yadav said that complaints of non-payment of pension have been received from many districts.
The delay has created financial difficulties for lakhs of families in celebrating the festival. He said that the government has promised that salaries and pensions will be released before Holi. Now holidays are starting from Sunday, now it has to be seen whether salary and pension will be released during these days or not.
