Ramnagari Ayodhya seems to be moving away from the ghats of the sacred Saryu river, due to which the politics regarding this issue is becoming intense. Ayodhya’s Faizabad seat Lok Sabha MP and Samajwadi Party leader Awadhesh Prasad has made serious allegations targeting the Yogi Adityanath government of the state regarding this.
SP MP Awadhesh Prasad appealed to the CM regarding the decreasing water level of Saryu River and the current moving away from the ghats. Yogi Adityanath Attacked and blamed the wrong policies and projects of the government for this. The SP MP alleged that sand worth crores of rupees was dug up and sold, due to which the Saryu stream has been affected.
SP MP made serious allegations against the government
Awadhesh Prasad said that now the main stream of Saryu river has started flowing towards Gonda instead of Ayodhya, which is a very serious issue. He will raise this matter in the Lok Sabha and present his views. He claimed that there is no water even at Ram Ki Pauri and arrangements are being made by filling water with hand pumps. He termed this as playing with the image and faith of Ayodhya.
Accusation of damaging historical heritage
Giving religious reference, the SP MP said that Goswami Tulsidas has also written in Ramayana – ‘Uttar Disi Bah Saryu Pawan’, but the present government is damaging this historical and religious heritage through its projects.
Awadhesh Prasad claimed that if his government comes to power, Saryu and Ghats will be developed better than before and the dignity of Ayodhya will be restored. At present, after this statement, political rhetoric regarding Saryu and development projects in Ayodhya has intensified. Summer has not even started properly and the current has gone away from the ghats of river Saryu. In such a situation, politics may become more heated on this issue in the coming days.
