A shocking case has come to light from the girls hostel of Devi Ahilya University in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. When the investigation started on the complaint of five first year students, it was found that a student of the Data Science department was pressurizing the first year girls living with her to have boyfriends. During investigation, all the allegations were found to be true and the student was expelled from the hostel and given an ultimatum to vacate the room within a week.
According to the complaint, the accused student often asked girls for cigarettes and lighters. She used to talk obscenely with boys all the time on video calls in the hostel and used to tell the first year girl students living with her to make a boyfriend and enjoy life. She also said that if she couldn’t make it herself, she would get it made through an app. Apart from the five complainant students, the inquiry committee also took oral statements of 10 other students and all of them described the behavior of the accused student as inappropriate.
Banned objectionable items found in bag
The investigation committee was shocked when during the search of the student’s bag, highly objectionable electronic items banned in India were found. This made the matter more serious. The student is originally from West Bengal and is said to be smart in studies.
Vice Chancellor himself is investigating, suspicion of conspiracy
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Vice Chancellor of DAVV, Professor Rakesh Singhai himself is engaged in investigation from every angle. They suspect that the student might be the mastermind of some big conspiracy. The management is also keeping an eye on the student’s call details, every movement and her department. The Vice-Chancellor said that playing with the security of the girl students will not be tolerated at all and if further irregularities are found in the investigation, the girl student will also be expelled from the university.
