Mp News: New guests from Botswana reach Kuno safely, Union Minister will leave in special enclosure – Mp News 9 Cheetahs From Botswana Reach Kuno National Park India Cheetah Count Nears 50

9 new cheetahs from Botswana arrived in Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning. These include 6 female and 3 male leopards. Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav will release them in a special enclosure after some time.

Earlier there was information that 8 leopards (6 females, 2 males) would be brought but on Friday a total of 9 leopards (6 females, 3 males) were sent to India. They first reached Gwalior by flight and from there were brought to Kuno National Park by helicopter at around 9:30 in the morning.

Gamini gave 4 cubs

Meanwhile, another good news has emerged. Female cheetah Gamini has given birth to 4 cubs. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav confirmed that the fourth cub born on February 18 has also now been visible to the field staff. It was not visible earlier because of the dense bushes. All four cubs are said to be healthy.

The number is expected to cross 50 in the country

With the addition of nine new leopards and Gamini’s fourth cub, the total number of leopards in Kuno has reached 45. This figure has reached 48 in the entire country. Due to pregnancy of female cheetah Jwala, this number is likely to cross 50 in the coming time.

The administration had completed preparations for the program. Chambal Division Commissioner Suresh Kumar inspected the helipad and enclosures. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is also expected to participate in the program.
