
The patience of a family, who was a victim of a road accident that took place three months ago in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, ended today. The family members of Khayali Prasad Yadav, who was injured by a forest ranger’s car, even sold their land, tractor and grains for his treatment, but no help was received. Today the helpless family laid the injured dead body on the same highway where the accident took place and blocked it. Family members allege that in the name of proper action, the Inspector took up to Rs 20 thousand. The family members have demanded compensation of one crore and action against the accused.
Khayali Prasad Yadav, who was hit hard by Ajnar Forest Ranger’s car on December 10. Three months have passed since the accident. Khayaliram’s wife Rajkumari and mother Kattodevi are in bad condition and crying. He alleges that the Rangers and the police have only cheated him in the name of treatment. The inspector who was responsible for the action took Rs 20,000 but did nothing in the name of help.
Family members sold land for treatment
The family claims that for the treatment of injured Khayaliram, they sold their two bighas of land, the tractor of the house and even the grains kept in the house. Even after spending Rs 20 lakh, there is no improvement in Khayali Ram’s condition. Now the family has neither money nor hope left.
Family members demanded compensation
There are three children in the house, the daughter is to get married and the only earning member of the house is lying in bed. In this frustration, the family members kept the injured at the same accident site and blocked it. The highway remained closed for about 3 hours, hundreds of vehicles remained stranded. The family members demand that strict action should be taken against the accused, the inspector who took bribe should be punished and a compensation of Rs 1 crore should be given for the future of the children.
Officials assured action
CO Charkhari Deepak Dubey and ADM reached the spot and explained to the family members after a lot of effort. The traffic jam could be cleared only after assurance of all possible help and better treatment from the administration. The injured has once again been taken to the district hospital. SDM Kunwar Pankaj said that a case has been registered in the matter along with the vehicle number. The family has been assured of proper treatment for the injured.
