In Moradabad, UP, the Congress Party has demonstrated at the Collectorate in support of Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati. Congress workers Prime Minister Narendra Modi By submitting a memorandum through the district administration, he demanded an impartial and high-level investigation into the entire matter.
Congress leaders say that during Kumbh, Shankaracharya and his disciples were mistreated on the day of Mauni Amavasya. It is alleged that he was stopped from taking holy bath and later cases were registered against him under serious sections. Congress leaders say that this is a matter related to religious faith and respect. If any officer has acted wrongly then strict action should be taken against him.
Congress workers registered their protest by blowing conch shells
During the demonstration, Congress workers reached the Collectorate and expressed their protest by blowing conch shells. The leaders said that the FIR registered against Shankaracharya and his disciples should be investigated by an independent and high level agency. Also, what was the reason behind the entire incident should also be investigated in detail. Congress leader Vinod Gumber has clearly said that if a fair investigation is not conducted then it will protest further in a democratic manner.
Samajwadi Party MLA raised questions
On the other hand, Samajwadi Party’s Ghazipur Sadar MLA Jai Kishan Sahu has also reacted in the case of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand. He said that such a case should be filed against someone who has been given the title of God by the common people and that too by a person who is a history-sheeter himself. He has expressed surprise at the allegations against Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda. Also the allegations have been described as baseless.
