Big decision of Pushkar Dhami cabinet, budget of Rs 1.11 lakh crore, approval on 28 proposals, read the decision

An important cabinet meeting was held today, Wednesday, 25 February 2026, under the chairmanship of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. A total of 32 issues were discussed in the cabinet meeting and 28 proposals were approved. The Uttarakhand government is going to present a budget of Rs 1.11 lakh crore in the Assembly for the upcoming financial year 2026-27.

This increase is 10 percent compared to last year. That means additional allocation of about Rs 10,000 crore. the cabinet Budget If necessary, the right to make amendments has been handed over directly to Chief Minister Dhami.

Nutrition for children and women

Now new things will be added to the materials given to children of 3 to 6 years of age under the Chief Minister’s Child Nutrition Campaign. Similarly, there has been a change in the Chief Minister Mahila Poshan Yojana – apart from eggs, milk and banana, now other nutritious food items will also be available to the women for their children.

strengthening the justice system

Three new fast track special courts will open in Vikas Nagar of Dehradun, Kashipur of Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital district headquarters. Apart from this, one post for Nainital High Court and 13 for District Courts – a total of 14 new posts of Court Manager have been created. Along with this, 21 non-government aided colleges will be included in the Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme. Besides, Swami Vivekananda Uttarakhand Library Scheme also got the green signal.

Environment and water concerns

Posts of environmental engineers will be created in all 11 municipal corporations of the state and recruitment will be done on contract basis. Policy 2026 for reuse of treated water in Uttarakhand was also approved. The water supply program funded by the World Bank is also a part of this series.

Gardening and Silent Keeping

Approval of the state-of-the-art Apple Nursery Development Plan 2026 and Silent Rearing Policy 2026 is a matter of relief for the hill farmers of Uttarakhand. Be it apple nursery or honey production – both of these are the most suitable means of livelihood according to the climate and geography of Uttarakhand.

Amendment in Uniform Civil Code

Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand (Amendment) Bill 2026 also got cabinet approval. This bill will be presented in the assembly. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement UCC, and now efforts are being made to bring practical reforms through amendments in it.

GST Appellate Tribunal

The main bench of the GST Appellate Tribunal in Dehradun will remain the same, but now an additional bench or circuit bench will also be established in Haldwani. Traders of Kumaon will no longer have to make rounds of Dehradun.

Relief to special teachers

In compliance with the order of the Supreme Court, four special teachers, who were working on ad-hoc or contract basis for years, will now be given regular appointment in the Secondary Education Department. Even though the number is only four, it is no less than a big change for these four people.
