Paras Dogra, captain of Jammu and Kashmir team, which reached the final for the first time, got angry with the sledging of Karnataka’s close-in fielders. Matters worsened when Dogra headbutted substitute fielder KV Aneesh. Seeing the matter escalating, Mayank Agarwal immediately intervened and separated the two.
This incident happened in the 101st over of Jammu and Kashmir’s innings. Anish was fielding at short leg. Dogra played a shot on the ball of fast bowler Prasidh Krishna and the ball went to the boundary. The captain was talking to his partner Kanhaiya Wadhawan, but Anish kept sledding. This angered Dogra and he went to the young player from Karnataka and hit him on the head. After this, Karnataka’s senior player Mayank Agarwal and the on-field umpires intervened. However, Dogra realized his mistake and apologized to Anish, but Anish was not satisfied with this. After this, Agarwal and KL Rahul also continued sledging Dogra.
