The leopard entered the Green Field School campus on NDRF Road at around 6 am on Wednesday. The leopard attempted to enter the school’s classrooms but failed when the doors were closed. The leopard strolled in the school grounds for about two minutes.
ACP Kavinagar Suryabali Maurya said that the leopard was captured in CCTV on NDRF road on Tuesday night also. He entered the Green Field School premises at six in the morning and after some time, jumped over the wall and ran away. The security personnel saw the leopard in the school and informed the school management. After which the class 11th examination held on Wednesday was canceled and a message was sent to the parents requesting them not to send their children to school. In such a situation, a major accident was averted.
All the doors of the school have been closed. On receiving information about leopard in the school, the department team reached the spot and set up a trap on the nearby roads. On information, ACP Kavinagar Suryabali Maurya reached the spot with the police team and diverted the route by placing barricades on the NDRF road. The forest department team has set a trap to catch the leopard. Police have been deployed on the spot.
