Harry Brook will not play IPL, BCCI has already made 'bold'Zoom

BCCI has already bowled Harry Brooks.

When Harry Brook was batting against Pakistan, neither Usman Tariq’s pause was troubling him nor Shaheen Afridi’s speed was scaring him. This batsman was just hitting explosive shots in his rhythm. Brook played such an innings that he single-handedly snatched the match from Pakistan’s jaws. But sadly, this batsman who was creating chaos in the World Cup will not play in the IPL. Harry Brook will remain away from the world’s biggest Premier League for two years due to the ban imposed by BCCI.

The England team has reached the semi-finals of the T-20 World Cup. Captain Harry Brook has created a stir with his batting. The shocking news is that Harry Brook’s strong form will not be enjoyed in the IPL. This did not happen due to any injury or displeasure of the board. Harry Brook became the first victim of BCCI’s Brahmastra rule, which has been made only in 2025. Due to this rule, Brook will not be able to appear in IPL before 2028.

25 year old Harry Brook made his IPL debut in 2023. He was first bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad team for Rs 13.15 crore. In that season, Brook played 11 matches and scored 190 runs. After this, Harrybrook again registered for the auction for the next season and this time he became a part of Delhi Capitals. Delhi spent Rs 4 crore to take Brook in the team. But even before the IPL started, Brook withdrew from the tournament citing personal reasons. Next year, he once again participated in the auction and this time Delhi bought him for Rs 6.25 crore, but this time Brook did the same and withdrew again before the league started.

Harry Book scored a century against Pakistan in 50 balls.

Brook withdrew from the league for two consecutive years. Before this, some other players had also done this. The franchise complained about this to BCCI. All 10 teams together appealed to the BCCI that foreign players withdraw their names after participating in the auction, due to which the balance of the team gets disturbed. After this a rule was made. Under this rule-

‘If a player registers for the auction, is bought by a team, and then withdraws from the league without any solid medical reason, he will be banned from both the tournament and the auction for the next 2 years.’
