Irfan Pathan suggestion Suryakumar Yadav: Irfan Pathan has given a special suggestion to Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav before the ICC T20 World Cup Super 8 match against Zimbabwe. He says that the captain should come to bat at number three instead of Tilak Verma.

Irfan Pathan advised Suryakumar Yadav to bat at number three against Zimbabwe.
New Delhi. For the Indian team, the equation of remaining in the semi-finals has deteriorated badly after losing the ICC T20 World Cup Super 8 match to South Africa. After the team’s batting disintegrated in the match, there was an uproar everywhere. Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan has suggested that India should send Suryakumar Yadav to bat at number 3 in the do-or-die match against Zimbabwe in Chennai. On Monday, 23 February, West Indies gave another blow to India’s hopes of reaching the semi-finals by defeating Zimbabwe.
The mistake will cost the defending champions dearly in the match against Zimbabwe. Many weaknesses in batting have come to light so far in the tournament. Questions are being raised on Abhishek Sharma’s form, while Tilak Verma has failed at number 3. Tilak has scored 107 runs in five matches and his strike rate is 118.88. At present, India’s top three batsmen are all left handed and there is a need for change. Pathan believes that this problem can be solved by sending Suryakumar at number 3 and fielding Tilak after him.
Batting at number 3 in T20 for India, Suryakumar has scored 864 runs in 32 matches, his average is 32 and strike rate is 158.53. During this period, he has scored one century and six half-centuries. Pathan told the broadcasters, “Maybe Surya should bat at number 3. So that the uniformity of three consecutive left-handed batsmen can be broken.”
Talk about bringing Akshar into the team, a chance for Kuldeep?
The former all-rounder also said that there may be a temptation to try out Kuldeep Yadav and bring Sanju Samson back into the team, but he wants India not to make too many changes against Zimbabwe. Pathan said, “Akshar Patel should come in the team. He is such a bowler who can bowl even against left-handed batsmen. He is very good, very experienced. We can use him as a floater in batting also. This is most important. The Indian team can think of bringing Kuldeep Yadav in the team, because they have seen the attack of the West Indies team. So they can think of giving a chance to Kuldeep against Zimbabwe, so that He can be tried before the big match against West Indies.”
He further said, “Apart from this, yes, he is a left-hander. Yes, they can also think about Sanju Samson, but I do not want the Indian team to make too many changes. I think there should be only one change in the playing 11. Akshar should come into the team.”
India will play against Zimbabwe on Thursday, 26 February in Chennai.
