
The weather in Bihar has now taken a complete turn. Relief from cold has started in almost all the districts of the state and the effect of heat is increasing rapidly. According to the Meteorological Center of India Meteorological Department (IMD), Patna, the temperature is being recorded 1 to 2 degrees Celsius higher than normal in the month of February. This is likely to increase further in the coming days, especially around Holi.
Talking about today’s (Tuesday) weather, the maximum temperature in the state today is expected to be between 28 to 32 degrees Celsius. A slight decrease in the minimum temperature may be seen in the south-western areas of South Bihar and eastern areas of North Bihar, but in most of the districts including the capital Patna, the minimum temperature of night and morning will be around 17 to 18 degrees Celsius.
The maximum day temperature can reach 29 to 31 degrees Celsius in Patna. The weather will remain dry and there is no possibility of rain. The temperature may fluctuate only around 1 degree.
Mercury started rising in many districts
Last Monday (February 23, 2026), a slight drop of 0.2 to 0.6 degrees was recorded in the maximum temperature in some districts of the state like Gaya, Kaimur, Buxar, Saharsa, Banka, Araria (Forbisganj) and Katihar. In other districts there was an increase of 0.2 to 1.7 degrees, with the highest increase recorded in Arwal at 1.7 degrees and Patna at 0.8 degrees.
Talking about the minimum temperature, the lowest was 12.2 degrees Celsius in Sabour of Bhagalpur, whereas in most of the districts it was recorded between 14 to 16 degrees. The minimum temperature in Patna, Kaimur and Katihar was 18 degrees, where no particular cold was felt at night.
No chance of rain in the next week
There is no possibility of rain in the state for the coming one week. A sharp rise in temperature is expected after 3-4 days from today. The minimum temperature may also increase by 2 to 4 degrees. From March 1, the maximum temperature in most of the districts is expected to be between 30 to 32 degrees and the minimum to be between 16 to 18 degrees.
According to Patna IMD, a new weak Western Disturbance is likely to become active in the Western Himalayan region on February 26, but it will not affect Bihar. Season But there will be no significant impact. There will be neither drop in temperature nor rain.
