After the brilliant batting of Shimron Hetmyer and the strong performance of the bowlers led by Gudakesh Moti, West Indies defeated Zimbabwe by 107 runs in the Super Eight match of the T20 World Cup. Batting first, West Indies scored 254 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Zimbabwe team was all out for 147 runs in 17.4 overs. Brad Evans batted explosively for Zimbabwe in the end, but he too could not lead the team to victory. This is West Indies’ second biggest win in terms of runs in T20. Earlier in 2024, it had defeated Uganda by 134 runs.
