MP ka Shrapit Gaon: In Dargama village of Shivpuri district, it is claimed that despite having a borewell for years, water is not coming out, due to which this village remains a matter of mystery. Villagers say that even after boring thousands of feet within the village limits, water is not available, whereas water comes out as soon as the border is crossed. According to folk belief, the water crisis in the village deepened due to the curse of a virgin girl. For farming and irrigation, farmers had to bring water from a distance of 5 to 7 kilometers. Now there is relief from government pipelines and other arrangements, but this story of the village still surprises people.

Shivpuri Mysterious Village Story: There is a village in Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, where strange stories regarding water have been heard for years. We are talking about Dargama village under Pohri assembly constituency. Villagers claim that no water came out of all the borewells dug in the village. At many places, boring was done for thousands of feet, hand pumps were installed, motors were installed, but all we got was disappointment. For farming, farmers have to bring water from a distance of 5 to 7 kilometers through pipelines.
Luck changes as soon as the limits change
The most surprising thing is that as soon as the boundary of the village ends and the ridge changes, water comes out at the same depth in the nearby village. This is the reason why this village has remained a subject of mystery and discussion for a long time.
Villagers say that if the ridge of the field is crossed then water is available in the boring, but water is not available in the border of Dargama.
Was there really a curse?
The elders of the village say that injustice was done to a virgin girl here long ago. He got angry and cursed that the people of this village would yearn for water. Villagers believe that the water crisis started here from that day. Although it is a matter of faith and belief, lack of water in the village still remains a big problem for the people.
How is water being supplied now?
Some time ago, under the guidance of a Mahant, a temple of that virgin girl was built in the village and Bhagwat Katha was performed. After this, gradually the provision of drinking water started through government schemes and pipelines.
Now the situation is better than before, but the story of “no water coming out within the limits” of the village still surprises people.
